Last Week's Menagerie of Artwork

Here are some of the pieces
I've been working on this past week.

Purple kitty wearing a
polka dot tie.

These butterflies make me laugh.
Not the pieces themselves, but
the fact that my husband hung
them in our pond area upside down.

I asked him if he realized he did that
and he was insistent they were right side up.

Oh, how I did not want to look at
those things hanging upside down
every time I looked
out my kitchen window.

I'd decided just to zip it, and
not say another word about it.

Well, to my surprise, the next day
I saw that he had flipped them right
side up.

"Thank You Lord!"

This is a sign that I made
for the bathroom.

It has resonated with me
since the first time I saw
it in an old Victoria magazine
many years ago.

This is a large 'welcome' sign I made
from a long cabinet door
someone was getting rid of.

That about wraps it up for
now.

Hoping it's a wonderful week for you.

Thank you for visiting.

  1. Whoa! What a week you've had, and a very creative week at that, Terri!
Can't decide which piece I love the best, so I'll just have to say ALL of them!
Great story about the butterflies / perfect saying for that special sign.

  2. Wow you have been busy Terri. The tie on the Kitty was cool but like Chris, I love them all too.
The door sign made me chuckle and smile.
So pleased that the butterflies turned themselves around for you as well :)
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  3. I love each of these so-colourful artworks.
That's amusing about the upside down butterflies. When I'm sending work to a gallery I make it very clear on the back which is the top and which is the bottom, no matter what the painting is. Just in case!
Purple kitty with his bow tie is marvellous. He looks very fierce.
I just love the Frida magnet and it's the best painting of Frida I've seen.

    1. Thank you Sheila. You gave me some good advice in regard to labeling top and bottom no matter how obvious it seems. lol
