Paintings and Thoughts on Procrastination

I've found one positive thing about
myself in regard to procrastination today.

When I procrastinate about doing
the thing I don't want to do, I'm extremely
productive in doing everything
else that eventually needs to be done.

Laundry's done, dishes are done, birthday card
that had to go out is in the mail, blog post
almost finished. . .

Speaking of which, I'll get
started on now.

I was sort of willy nilly in my
painting this week.

I had some wood pieces my husband
had cut for me that I wanted to use up.

Here's what I came up with for now.

It's funny, the thing I'm procrastinating about
is not a big deal at all.

It's just something I don't feel like doing.

Oh, I just remembered the pomodoro time
management method!

That's what I'll do, set the timer and get started.

Thank you for visiting today!

I hope you have a fabulous week.

Terri

  1. I sure know about putting things off-and it's odd how eventually, that thing that looms so big does get done! I think I handle it like you do. The paintings are very good- I especially love the cat and the dog.

  2. Terri, I would never guess that you are guilty of procrastination. Happy to hear you get other things done though. When I procrastinate, I usually don't do anything. The Pomodoro technique is said to really work. Hope you get good results with it. I will give it a try.
And this week's artwork? Love them all, especially that sweet dog!!

    1. Thank you Chris! I think your way of procrastinating is more authentic. I feel like mine is just a way of rationalizing negative behavior. lol ~ Happy you like the little dog!

  3. Oh I did smile Terri reading about the 'procrastinaton' dilemma and then I thought about my own 'to do' list which seems to hsve grown longer lately :( my smile was soon gone ha ha.
I'd not heard of the technique you mentioned - so I might look into that thanks :)
Love all your happy colours, fabulous marks and pattern and of course the amazing imagery but I love birds so the chicken is my favourite on this occasion - absolutely stunning!
